019. Silt stone – 22 grams

Banded sedimentary stone, siltstone with Quarts vein.

An oval, gray stone pendant featuring a natural whit band across the center. Surface is smooth but matte and it's easy to see how it is weather by nature and water. These types of stones is quite common to find in many parts of Iceland. This one I picked at Ytri Tunga beach in Snæfellsnes. I picked this one for a pendant because of I find that the beauty of it lays in the rawness of the stone.
