040. Greenstone – 36 grams

This is a variety of Basalt, the most common type of stone in Iceland. But this is a green type of basalt with a quartz line through it. Quite basic but beautiful. The green colour comes from either chlorite or actinolite.

This stone represents healing, balance and harmony as well as growth and renewal. The white vein through the stone is seen as a path/scar of life line - emphasizing the beauty in imperfection or journey.

This stone was picked up in Snæfellsnes peninsula in the west of Iceland.
