036. Deep lagoon pearl – 39 grams
Deep lagoon pearl. Glassy shiny basalt, found at Djúpalóns sandur beach. Their glassy surface is because of sped up cooling of the lava when it met the ocean. They have a large amount of iron and therefor weigh more than an average stone. The stones have both healing and protecting effects and their shining is often connected to the closeness to Snæfellsjökull (glacier of Snæfellsnes)
