021. Green basalt with quartz – 31 grams

Around 95% of our stones and rocks in Iceland are Basalt. This one has nice quartz lines in it. Basalt is lava stones that cooled down quite fast and is quite dense because of that. Quartz blends in when it has melted into liquid and then flows into cracks that bind the stone together in the end.
